The Sallah started on a sour note for three villages in Adamawa State, as Boko Haram attacked and killed about 70 residents in Michika Local Government Area in a renewed attack.
A resident of Garta, one of the village raided by the sect members who iden himself as Joseph said the insurgents arrived his village around 6pm raiding homes and shops.
He said, “They burnt most of the shop and houses after looting them, as mo people had to climb the nearby moun to save their lives.
“For now I can’t say the number of ca as we are still in the bush and we lear that they attackers just left the village morning.”
The Islamic insurgent group also dest their houses and farmlands.
Among the villages attacked is Kuborshosho, the village of former governor of the state and Minister Yo Development, Mr. Boni Haruna, who l close relations, one of whom was a 99 year-old man, who was slaughtered b dreaded group.
The other villages they attacked are K Garta and others, were still under atta at the time of filing this report.

According to sources, the villages wer attacked on Thursday night through F and the insurgents went further to att those who escaped to the mountains.
As at time of filling this reports, sympathisers, who had gathered at th residence of the minister, condemned attack and appealed to the Federal Government to expedite action towar stopping the evil activities of the Isla sect.
Farmlands ready for harvest were destroyed, while shops and warehous belonging to the residents, were burgl and precious items carted away be th insurgents.
